Nutrition Education

FOR KIDS

Food Sharks is committed to helping kids understand the importance of good nutrition and why it is essential for a healthy mind and body.

Our nutrition programs address the good, the bad and the ugly truths about food and how media and the marketing industry influence our food choices.

These topics are explored through engaging, interactive activities, demonstrations, taste-tests and fun challenges, empowering them with essential knowledge to develop the lifelong habits necessary to become healthy, thriving adults.

Nutrition plays a critical role in the mental and physical health of growing children.

Kids today are dealing with many issues; self-esteem, body image, stress and anxiety to name a few. Obesity rates are on the rise and kids are eating more junk food than any other generation before them.

One of the biggest challenges they face is navigating the barrage of messages and information by the fast-food industry and their multi-million dollar advertising campaigns.
